What people mean by “Asian massage”
Asian massage is a broad label. In Paris, it can refer to a Chinese foot reflexology shop, a Japanese shiatsu practice, a Thai spa or a sensual massage salon. The traditions behind these places are very different, and knowing them helps you find exactly what you are looking for.
Here is a short, honest overview, followed by what our salon actually offers.
The main Asian massage traditions
Thai massage
Traditional Thai massage, or Nuad Thai, comes from Thailand and has roots in Buddhist and Indian medicine. The masseuse uses thumbs, palms, elbows and feet to press along energy lines called sen, and guides the body into gentle stretches. It is often described as “passive yoga”. It is dynamic, rhythmic and deeply releasing.
Chinese massage
Chinese massage, known as tuina, belongs to traditional Chinese medicine. It uses kneading, rolling, rubbing and acupressure on the meridians. It is usually firmer and more targeted, often used for back pain or stiffness. Chinese foot reflexology is another popular style in Paris. Our salon does not offer traditional Chinese massage.
Japanese massage
Shiatsu is the best-known Japanese massage: finger pressure on specific points, given through clothing. Japan is also associated with nuru, a sensual massage using a slippery seaweed-based gel. Our salon does not offer it: we recommend the body to body with warm oil rather than nuru.
| Tradition | Key techniques | Feeling |
|---|---|---|
| Thai | Pressure on energy lines, stretches, rhythm | Fluid, stretching, energising |
| Chinese (tuina) | Kneading, rubbing, acupressure | Firm, targeted |
| Japanese (shiatsu) | Finger pressure through clothing | Precise, calm |
| Japanese (nuru) | Body glide with seaweed gel | Sensual, frictionless |

What our Asian massage salon offers
Our salon is Thai. Our masseuses are Thai and were trained in traditional Thai massage before specialising in sensual massage. Every session starts with a Thai-style warm-up, then moves into one of these:
- Body to body massage: the masseuse glides over you with her oiled body. Our signature.
- Soapy massage: foam and a body glide in the shower, then a body to body with oil on the table.
- Thai erotic massage: the most “Thai” of our massages, with a longer traditional sequence before the glide.
- Tantric massage: slow, breath-led and meditative.
All of them cost the same: €100 for 30 minutes, €130 for 45 minutes, €150 for an hour, €250 for an hour with two masseuses.
Tips for choosing an Asian massage in Paris
If you are visiting Paris and looking for an Asian massage, a few simple questions will save you from disappointment:
- What kind of massage do you want? Therapeutic work on a sore back points to tuina or a classic Thai massage. Deep relaxation with a sensual dimension points to body to body with warm oil.
- Are the prices clearly displayed? A serious salon tells you the price for each length before you arrive, with no surprises on the day.
- Is there a proper shower? For any oil or gel massage, a private shower before and after is a basic sign of hygiene.
- Are the rules stated openly? A salon that explains what it does, and what it does not do, is a salon that respects both its staff and its clients.
- Can you book easily in English? For travellers, a quick written exchange by WhatsApp is far more comfortable than a phone call in a foreign language.

A sensual massage within clear limits
Travellers are sometimes unsure what to expect from an Asian massage salon in Paris, and that caution is understandable. Our position is simple: our massages are professional, performed by trained Thai masseuses by the book. An indecent request or inappropriate behaviour, or simply a decision by the masseuse that the session should stop, leads to immediate cancellation, without refund. Read our house rules to know exactly what to expect.

What is the difference between Thai and Chinese massage?
Thai massage combines pressure along energy lines with assisted stretches and rhythmic movements, often called passive yoga. Chinese tuina relies on kneading, rubbing and acupressure based on traditional Chinese medicine and meridians. Thai massage feels more fluid and stretching, tuina more targeted and firm. Our salon is Thai and does not offer traditional Chinese massage.
Do you offer Chinese or Japanese massage?
No. We are a Thai salon, and our masseuses are Thai. We offer Thai-inspired sensual massages: body to body with warm oil, soapy and tantric. We do not offer nuru, the gel technique associated with Japan. For traditional tuina or shiatsu, look for a specialised therapist; for a sensual Thai massage, you are in the right place.
Is an Asian massage parlour in Paris always a sensual massage?
No, and that is an important distinction. Many Asian massage places in Paris offer only therapeutic or foot massage. Others, like ours, offer sensual body to body massage. Whatever the style, a serious salon works by the book, with trained staff and clearly stated rules. Check the prices, the rules and the address before you book.
Why are Thai masseuses so highly regarded?
Thai massage is taught as a real craft in Thailand, in temple schools and training centres in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Masseuses learn anatomy, energy lines, rhythm and pressure control. That training gives them a precise, caring touch. Since 2019, Nuad Thai has also been recognised by UNESCO as part of humanity's intangible cultural heritage.
Can I get a traditional Thai massage without the body to body part?
Our salon specialises in sensual body to body massages that include a Thai-style warm-up. If you want only a clothed traditional Thai massage on a mat, a classic Thai spa will suit you better. If you want the Thai touch plus the warmth of the body glide, the Thai erotic massage is ideal.
